| There are so many areas where the federal government should have no role beyond protecting people's rights from being violated. If we let people keep all the money they earn and stop the federal government from wasting such a large portion of our economy, the resulting prosperity would advance arts, science, education and healthcare to a far greater degree than could possibly be achieved by government. | |||
| Government should be so small that it can be funded through corporate charter fees, a few excise taxes and tariffs, and other simple means as the Constitution originally intended. We specifically need to repeal the income tax immediately. Corporate taxes are senseless because they are only passed along to consumers, so we end up paying them anyway. Inheritance taxes are particularly cruel, while capital gains taxes stifle investment and innovation. | |||
